University of Bath’s Undergraduate Economics: Applications for undergraduate Economics courses at the University of Bath are now being accepted for the 2024–2025 academic year. The application deadline is January 31, 2024.
Undergraduate Economics courses at the University of Bath are intended for students who want to know how producers and consumers make decisions and how that influences supply and demand on a local, national, and global scale. Pupils will gain the ability to evaluate and resolve challenging numeric issues, as well as apply these abilities to actual economic difficulties.
By selecting the mathematics option, students develop their analytical skills for complex financial data while also learning how mathematical language facilitates the development of financial theory. Through the application of economic principles to policy concerns and an understanding of policy formation, students pursuing the politics pathway investigate the interrelationships among society, the government, and the economy.
Qualification Standards
An average of 85% in each of the four approved topics is required of students pursuing the Higher Secondary School Certificate (12th Standard) on the boards of the CBSE and CISCE. For example, BSc Economics and BSc Economics and Politics require 85% in Mathematics, while BSc Economics with Mathematics require 90%. It is required that students preparing for the CBSE exams study mathematics, not applied mathematics.
Each course page also contains information on the level or the requirements for applying for the International Baccalaureate Diploma. If students do not anticipate meeting the academic criteria on time, they may be able to complete an International Foundation Year at Bath’s partner organisation, Bath College, beforehand.
A University of Bath degree is assured for students who meet the necessary grades at Bath College. Any consideration of Foundation Years provided by other UK institutions and universities will be made on an individual basis. Undergraduate Admissions can be contacted at admissions@bath.ac.uk by students who are unclear about their subject selections for the 12th Standard, are studying under separate boards, or are pursuing otherl degrees.
