UPHESC: Recruitment of 1017 Assistant Professor delayed, know reason

The Chief Minister has also issued the same directives. Prof. Ishwar Sharan Vishwakarma's term as UPHESC President ends on February 6.

UPHESC Assistant Professor Recruitment: The recruitment of 1017 Assistant Professors under advertisement number 51 in the state’s non-government aided colleges is not expected to be completed anytime soon. According to experts, this recruitment will be completed solely through the newly formed Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, rather than the Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Service Commission (UPHESC). The Chief Minister has also issued the same directives. Prof. Ishwar Sharan Vishwakarma’s term as UPHESC President ends on February 6.

The term of member Rajni Tripathi expires on February 6, and the term of member Krishna Kumar expires on February 4. After the chairman and two members’ terms expire, the commission will be down to two members: Dr. Raj Narayan and Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh. While a quorum of four out of six members is required. In the absence of quorum, the commission’s work will come to a halt. This will have the greatest impact on the hiring of 1017 Assistant Professors.

Governor Anandiben Patel has directed that the online application portal for Assistant Professor recruitment be reopened in accordance with the rules, as requested by candidate Rupesh Kumar Singh. In a day or two, a decision on reopening the portal can be made. In this case, the chairman and both members will bid farewell until the application is received. After that, the work of conducting examinations, evaluating candidates, announcing results, and conducting interviews, among other things, will be completed.
