UPPSC APS Recruitment: Students demanding to start Additional Private Secretary, protest outside the commission

UPPSC APS Recruitment: Competitive students demonstrated outside the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission on Monday demanding the release of advertisement of Additional Private Secretary (APS) Recruitment- 2022. The candidates were demanding to meet the president Sanjay Shrinet but permission was not received. Then the candidates demanded to meet the secretary. After a long wait, Secretary Alok Kumar met Deepak Kushwaha, Mahtab Alam and Ishtiakh. Candidates said that for 10 years the Commission has not issued the advertisement of APS Recruitment.

While the commission also receives requisition for 305 posts. In response to RTI, the Secretariat Administration has informed that at present 493 posts of Additional Private Secretary are vacant in the Secretariat Administration. Out of which 271 posts are of Secretariat Administration, 22 posts of Public Service Commission and 11 posts of Revenue Council. Whereas the recruitment for the year 2013 on the remaining 12 posts has not been completed yet. The candidates said that the commission is deliberately not releasing the recruitment.

Candidates told that in the year 2018 in the educational qualification of computer certificate equivalent to CCC, a mandate has also been issued that if anyone has any certificate of computer in CCC or higher degree then all such people are eligible for recruitment. Many candidates have also become overage waiting for the recruitment. On this, the Secretary assured that he would be given an update on this in 20 days.
