UPSSSC PET 2022: Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has started the process of taking applications for Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET)-2022 from Tuesday. The last date for submission of application and fee is July 27 and the last date for fee adjustment and amendment in the application is August 3.

Commission Secretary Avnish Saxena has issued detailed guidelines in this regard. The application will be accepted online on the website of the commission. Offline application will be rejected. Group ‘C’ appearing in PET will be eligible for the main examinations of the recruitment. The result of PET-2021 is valid for one year i.e. till 27 October 2022. PET-2021 candidates will be eligible to apply for whatever recruitment advertisements will come out by this date.

Thereafter, the candidates will be shortlisted for the main examination on the basis of the score of PET-2022. The age group of 18 to 40 years will be eligible to apply. Unreserved and Other Backward Classes will have to pay Rs 185 and SC/ST will have to pay Rs 95. There is a fee of Rs 25 for the disabled. Freedom fighters, dependents, ex-servicemen and women will have to pay the fee according to these categories. Candidates having high school, equivalent or higher educational qualification can apply in PET-2022. Only those who possess the educational qualification before the last date of submission of application will be eligible.

Syllabus of PET 2022 released:

The exam will be of two hours. There will be a total of 100 questions of the same number of marks. In the examination, there will be five marks related to Indian History, Indian National Movement five, Geography of five marks. There will be questions of five marks each related to Indian Economy, Indian Constitution and Public Administration. There will be questions of five marks each from General Science, Elementary Arithmetic, General Hindi, General English, Reasoning and Reasoning power. There will be questions of 10 marks related to current affairs, general awareness, unread Hindi passage and analysis and analysis, graph interpretation and analysis, table interpretation and analysis.
