Winter Holiday: Schools will remain closed in various states till January 15, check details

Minimum temperatures of up to 2 degrees Celsius were recorded in some districts of Rajasthan, including Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and Churu.

Winter Break in Schools 2022-23: The winter season in North India continues. Because of the children’s trembling in the schools, many state governments have declared a school holiday for the next few days. Haryana and Rajasthan are among the states where schools have declared a winter break. Winter vacations are also about to begin in schools in Bihar, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh. Due to the state’s cold spell, the Rajasthan government has declared a winter vacation from December 25 to January 5, 2023. All schools in the state will be closed during this time. Minimum temperatures of up to 2 degrees Celsius were recorded in some districts of Rajasthan, including Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and Churu.

Haryana schools will be closed until January 15:

Due to the outbreak of a severe cold in the state, the Haryana government has declared a winter vacation from January 1, 2023 to January 15, 2023. In other words, all public and private schools will be closed for 15 days in the new year. The coldest district in the state was Mahendragarh, where the minimum temperature was 3.9 degrees Celsius on Friday. The temperature in the state has dropped significantly compared to previous days.

Winter Solstice 2022: Shortest Day and Longest Night of the Year

Bihar schools are closed until December 31:

Due to the outbreak of a cold in the state, the Bihar government has ordered the closure of all schools from December 26 to December 31, 2022. If the weather worsens in the future, school holidays may be extended as well.

Schools in Delhi will be closed until January 15:

The Delhi government has declared a winter holiday in schools from January 1 to January 15, 2023, according to the Indian Express. Due to the cold weather, all schools from nursery to 12th will be closed until January 15.

In UP, a school holiday may be declared soon:

Let us inform you that, in preparation for the winter, the Uttar Pradesh government has changed school start times from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., but the winter vacation has not yet been declared. If the outbreak of winter continues, it will soon be declared a winter vacation here as well.

Holidays in Madhya Pradesh may be announced soon as well:

The Madhya Pradesh government has not yet declared winter vacation in schools, but it is expected that by December 31, the administration will declare winter vacation here as a cold wave has begun in the Gwalior, Bundelkhand, and Vindhya regions. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in many areas could reach 2 degrees by December 31.
