World University Rankings

Along with the Shanghai ranking and the QS ranking, which measure all universities universally, including general universities and universities of technology, the THE Ranking is one of the top university rankings in the world. However, the subject rankings and speciality rankings, such as the Engineering & Technology rankings, are more pertinent for TU Delft. Each ranking has its own strengths and flaws and is based on a different set of criteria and techniques. High placements in prestigious rankings can aid in luring top talent from around the globe, and international students and intellectuals wishing to study or work abroad frequently base their selection of universities on these rankings.

Following the growth of universities in Southeast Asia and significant spending on education and science in the US (mostly private) and Europe (public and private), there has been fierce competition in the rankings in recent years. Additionally, a growing number of new universities are making their way into the rankings.
