Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance World Tour’: Exclusive Film Release at AMC Theatres

According to Variety, the theater chain will bypass studios for direct distribution, similar to its strategy for Taylor Swift's forthcoming concert film.

Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance World Tour’: Fans of Beyoncé who desire a new method to experience her Renaissance World Tour may get their wish before the end of the year. According to multiple reports, the icon is in final negotiations with AMC Theatres to bring her global tour to the big screen.

According to Variety, the theater chain will bypass studios for direct distribution, similar to its strategy for Taylor Swift’s forthcoming concert film, The Eraser Tour. Swift, who self-financed the project and will retain more than fifty percent of box office receipts, is anticipated to debut her film in October for more than $100 million.

According to sources, Beyoncé’s concert film will include footage from her highest-grossing live performances in 2023, never-before-seen videos from the long-delayed Renaissance visual album, and a documentary-style account of creating the album and planning the tour. It appears that the film will share similarities with her 2019 concert film, Homecoming, which premiered on Netflix.

The film is reportedly aiming for a wide release on December 1 and is anticipated to generate nearly $560 million in ticket sales. This Sunday, the singer is expected to make the announcement during the tour’s concluding performances at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

ET has contacted Beyoncé’s representative for confirmation.

Fans have long speculated that Beyoncé would direct a theatrical release similar to Homecoming, given that she frequently alters the aesthetics of her concerts and features guest artists.

Most recently, the Houston native linked up with Megan Thee Stallion to bring audiences the first-ever performance of their GRAMMY-winning single, “Savage (Remix),” during the Renaissance World Tour stop in her hometown. The “Crazy in Love” singer was accompanied onstage by her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, in addition to the “H-Town Hottie.”

Prior to that, the “Break My Soul” singer celebrated her 42nd birthday with a three-night performance at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles over the Labor Day holiday weekend. While the Saturday and Sunday concerts were packed, Beyoncé’s 42nd birthday performance on September 4 was exceptionally star-studded.

Diana Ross led the audience in chanting “Happy Birthday” to the music legend, while Kendrick Lamar performed the “America Has a Problem” remix as a surprise appearance.

Jenners, Lizzo, Adele, Zendaya, Tom Holland, Chris Rock, Katy Perry, Kate Hudson, and Vanessa Bryant were present to support all three performances, as was Kelly Rowland.

It was also an unforgettable evening for Lil Rel Howery, who proposed to Dannella Lane during the performance.

Kim Kardashian enjoyed a night out with daughter North West, sister Khloe Kardashian, and niece Penelope Disick, despite reports that Kourtney Kardashian was hospitalized during her pregnancy. At the performance, the ladies reconnected with Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble, sharing a photo of the group with Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez. Observant fans also spotted Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet, marking their first public appearance together amid their “low-key” relationship. Kendall Jenner, sister, was also present.
