BLACKPINK Drops New Track ‘The Girls’ And Music Video In ‘The Game’ In 2023

The app's team, on the other hand, disclosed in July that animation graphic development was still ongoing.

BLACKPINK Drops New Track ‘The Girls’: The music video for BLACKPINK’s latest single “The Girls” is presently viewable through the group’s mobile app “The Game.”

Originally teased in May, the “The Girls” music video was released on August 23 and features animated avatars of Rosé, Jisoo, Lisa, and Jennie repeating the slogan “Don’t mess with the girls” while performing cartoonized versions of BLACKPINK’s distinctive group choreography.

The music video and song are currently exclusive to “The Game,” but a banner posted on BLACKPINK’s official Twitter indicates that the digital single will be released on Friday, August 25.

A YouTube viewing party was held in honour of the long-awaited release of “The Girls” by the four friends. Before playing many games as a group, they viewed their new music video together for the first time and marvelled at how adorable their animated counterparts were.

Lisa commented on BLACKPINK’s animated dance performance, “the choreo is super cute,” according to YouTube’s Korean-to-English translation.

“Can we pull that off in real life?” asked Rosé.

“The Game” was published in May, and “The Girls” was scheduled for release shortly thereafter. The app’s team, on the other hand, disclosed in July that animation graphic development was still ongoing, apologising to Twitter followers for the “endless and frustrating” delay.

“Our deep desire to present the highest quality of content flawlessly took longer than anticipated,” the company said in a statement. “As a result, our initial plan to release the M/V simultaneously with the game release was significantly delayed.”

Blackpink commemorated their seventh anniversary as a group on social media, with each member expressing gratitude for their time in the group.
