What is the relationship between Ares and Hephaestus in Percy Jackson?

The Greek mythology has two gods: Ares and Hephaestus. As the sons of Zeus and Hera, they are brothers.

Hephaestus is the god of fire and smithing in Percy Jackson, whereas Ares is the Greek god of war and bravery. Among the brothers, Ares was always the favourite because of his good looks and bravery. Hephaestus, on the other hand, was the abandoned kid.

The maltreatment that Hephaestus suffered throughout his life was alluded to in Episode 5. Zeus and Hera rejected him because of the way he looked. The general dishonesty of all the Gods was then demonstrated when his wife Aphrodite had an affair with his brother Ares.

According to Greek mythology, Hephaestus humiliated Ares and Aphrodite in front of the other Olympians by entangling them both in a golden net when they were having a romantic relationship. However, in the series, Percy was seen to get imprisoned in a Golden chair that Hephaestus created. But when he saw the courage, morality, and selflessness that Percy and Annabeth displayed, he let the little demigod go.
