Saripodhaa Sanivaaram: The production team of Nani’s forthcoming film Saripodhaa Sanivaaram announced on social media that the movie will be released on Saturday, August 29.

Presently, Natural Star Nani is without a doubt one of the most recognizable personalities in the Telugu film industry. The actor, whose most recent romantic drama, Hi Nanna, was an enormous success, is presently in production of his upcoming project, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram.

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram: Release Date

Vivek Athreya serves as the film’s director, signifying their subsequent partnership after the 2022 production of Ante Sundaraniki. On Saturday, February 24th, the film’s producers published a teaser for the movie that went viral almost immediately. The producers of the film have recently announced via social media that it will be released in theaters on August 29 of this year.

In an initial post on their official X (previously Twitter), the filmmakers announced that the movie would be available for purchase in 180 days, or 26 Saturdays. They quickly followed suit by posting an additional poster that announced the film’s release date and featured the inscription, “Be ready for a collective delight at the theaters.”

It appears that the film’s producers are adhering to the film’s titular theme. ‘Sanivaaram’ translates to ‘Saturday’ in Telugu, and thus far, all film-related updates have been published on Saturdays. Moreover, the initial estimation of the film’s release date was predicated on the number of remaining Saturdays. Interestingly, the actual date of dissemination is Thursday.

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram: What we know so far

As previously stated, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram signifies director Vivek Athreya and actor Nani’s second collaboration on screen. It was disclosed in October 2023 that Priyanka Mohan and SJ Suryah would be starring in the film, with the former being cast as the female protagonist and the latter being assigned a significant role, respectively. Additionally, it has been reported that Sai Kumar and Subhalekha Sudhakar are assuming pivotal roles.

The film’s producers published a brief teaser for the film on February 24. The teaser provides a superficial glimpse into Nani’s character, Surya. Additionally, it was disclosed that the character possesses tremendous fury but employs it “methodically and meticulously” only on Saturdays.

A vigilante superhero film, the film has received financial backing from DVV Danayya through his production banner, DVV Entertainment. Consistent with the film’s superhero motif, the teaser featured slight comic-book elements. Jakes Bejoy is tasked with composing the film’s score, whereas Murali G operates the camera. Additionally, Karthika Srinivas has been hired as the film’s editor.
