Snowpiercer’s Final Journey: TNT cancelled the eleventh season of Snowpiercer 11 months ago, leaving the program without a home. Cast member Mike O’Malley, who plays former brakeman Sam Roche, says that the show will find new tracks for its goodbye spin.

Snowpiercer’s Final Journey: Series Vet Promises an ‘Incredible’ Farewell Season, Destination Unknown

TNT said in January that it would not be airing the already finished fourth and final season of Snowpiercer. In a joint statement, CEO/partner Marty Adelstein and president/partner Becky Clements of Tomorrow Studios said, “We love Snowpiercer and believe Season 4 completes a story with incredible talent that will entertain viewers while exploring issues of climate change and class warfare.”

So, Tomorrow Studios bought the franchise’s rights and started looking for a new partner so that the future drama could “end a great ride with the last season.”

Television Line recently asked O’Malley, who made the NBC series Extended Family, if and when Snowpiercer’s ending might come out. He said, “I’m trying to get an answer to that,” adding that “our [new] showrunner Paul Zbyszewski has done incredible storytelling.”

The first three seasons of Snowpiercer were taken off of Max not long after TNT decided not to show Season 4. However, they are still available to watch on Netflix around the world. “That whole fourth season is already made, though, and it will end up somewhere,” O’Malley said.

Clark Gregg (Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD) and Michael Aronov (The Americans) joined the group for Season 4, and Zbyszewski took over as director from executive producers Graeme Manson and Aubrey Nealon.

O’Malley told TVLine, “We were actually hoping that we’d keep going, but I think there’s an ending to that where it could be the end, and it’s very hopeful.” Is Season 4 written at all as the last season? I can’t wait for that show to be shown to everyone because it’s so great. — With words by Ryan Schwartz
