Kim Won, his older sibling, seeks control of the family business and sends him to the United States. There, he meets Cha Eun-sang, who has travelled to the United States in search of her sister, who is leading a secret existence away from her family’s knowledge. Cha Eun Sang is, unbeknownst to most, the daughter of Kim Tan’s housekeeper.

When Kim Tan returns to Korea, Choi Young-do, his wealthy former best friend, begins to antagonise Eun-sang in an effort to provoke Tan, resulting in a convoluted love triangle. As their relationship becomes public, Cha Eun Sang encounters many obstacles from Kim Tan’s wealthy family. Together, they surmount these challenges, resulting in a happy and satisfying conclusion for the characters.
