The film fanatics and fans of both Ram Charan and Virat Kohli were extremely excited after the reports on the Telugu superstar’s casting in the cricketer’s biopic began doing rounds on social media. Reputable Bollywood production company reportedly proposed the idea to the Rangasthalam actor, who has already approved the project.

However, sources close to Ram Charan have recently verified to Pinkvilla that these rumours are unfounded. According to the actor’s representative, he has no intention of portraying Virat Kohli in the upcoming biopic, and the Telugu icon is currently focused on completing all of his committed projects.

Ram Charan’s Career

Ram Charan was last seen in RRR, a film directed by SS Rajamouli that became one of the greatest box office successes of recent Indian cinema. This was the actor’s first on-screen collaboration with Jr NTR, a contemporary actor. After the tremendous triumph of the epic period drama, Charan and master craftsman S Shankar are collaborating on a forthcoming political thriller titled Game Changer.

Later, the actor will collaborate with Uppena director Buchi Babu Sana for his sixteenth Telugu film. The project, which is rumoured to be a rural sporting drama, has a working title of RC 16. Ram Charan is said to be portraying a never-seen-before role in the highly awaited film, which will start rolling by the beginning of 2024. Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman is composing the project’s melodies and original score. The crew has not yet finalised the female lead and the remaining cast members for RC 16.
