CUET 2023: Online application for Common University Entrance Test starts in Allahabad University

The National Testing Agency will conduct this test (NTA). Students seeking admission for the academic year 2023-24 will be required to take both Hindi and English, or one of the two subjects.

Admission to undergraduate courses at the University of Allahabad (University) and its constituent colleges will be via the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) in 2023. The National Testing Agency will conduct this test (NTA). Students seeking admission for the academic year 2023-24 will be required to take both Hindi and English, or one of the two subjects.

Candidates who choose a language other than these two will be automatically denied admission to the university. The online application process for CUET 2023 has begun. Students can apply until 9 p.m. on March 12. From March 15 to March 18, an opportunity to correct the application error was provided. The list of centres will be made public on April 30. In the second week of May, the admit card will be distributed. Entrance exams are scheduled to begin on May 21 in various locations across the country.

Around 17 thousand graduate seats (BA, BSc Maths and Bio, BCom, BALLB, BSc Home Science, BFA, BPA) will be available in Allahabad University and Colleges. At the same time, admission will be open for approximately 1,000 seats in eight IPS courses. In other words, admission will be made in the new session in relation to the total of 18 thousand seats.

Bilinguals will be required to answer 180 questions.

Students who have chosen one language (English or Hindi) will have to answer 140 questions in the CUET undergraduate entrance exam, while those who have chosen both languages (English and Hindi) will have to answer 180 questions. Prof. JK Pati, Director of Admission Cell, stated that the question paper for the entrance examination will be divided into three sections.
The first section will be language, with 50-50 questions for each language. 40 of these must be answered. Students who choose one language must answer 40 questions out of 50, while those who choose two languages must answer 80 questions out of 100.

The second section will cover optional topics. This will include questions from 27 different subjects. Students must select a maximum of six subjects from the 27 available and answer 40 questions about them.
The third section will consist of General Knowledge questions. There will be 75 questions on General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, and Quantitative Reasoning. 60 of the 75 questions must be answered.

In BALLAB, questions will be asked from optional subjects.

Questions from the optional subject will be asked in the BALB entrance exam. Questions will be asked about Legal Studies for BALB, Music Performance for BPA, Fine Art in BFA, and Home Science in BSc Home Science.

BA: Select at least two subjects

To be admitted to University BA, candidates must select at least two subjects from a list of eight (Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, History, Geography, Sanskrit). Only questions from the selected subjects will be asked in the entrance exam.

BSC: Choose at least two subjects.

For admission to B.Sc Mathematics at this university, a minimum of two subjects must be chosen. At least two of the following disciplines must be chosen: physics, mathematics, chemistry, and computer science. Biology is a required course in the B.Sc. programme. You have the option of studying Physics or Chemistry.
B.Com: Students will select the commerce stream for admission to the university’s B.Com programme. This will include questions about bookkeeping and accounting.

For the first time, eight IPS courses are included in CUET.

For the first time, eight undergraduate level courses offered by the university’s Institute of Professional Studies (IPS) centre have been added to CUET. Under CUET, admission will be made to BCA, Five Year BCA-MCA Data Science, Bivoc Software Development, Bivoc Media Production, BA Media Studies, Five Year Food Technology Program, Bivoc Food Processing, and BA Fashion Design & Technology. Admission to 14 undergraduate courses will now be handled through CUET.
