WBJEE 2023 exam on April 30; Check schedule, paper pattern, guidelines

Applicants who meet the minimum eligibility requirements for the WBJEE 2023 exams will be able to register in the final week of December.

On April 30, 2023, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will hold the WBJEE 2023 examinations. WBJEE online applications will be made available on the official website, wejeeb.nic.in.

Applicants who meet the minimum eligibility requirements for the WBJEE 2023 exams will be able to register in the final week of December.

WBJEE 2023 Timetable

The WBJEEB has released the tentative schedule for the WBJEE 2023 examinations; however, the schedule is subject to change. “The examination will be held once a year, and there will be no further examination under any circumstances for those who are unable to appear on the above-mentioned date and time.” The official WBJEE 2023 information brochure can be found here.

Papers and rankings for the WBJEE 2023

Candidates who take both papers 1 and 2 of the WBJEE 2023 will be eligible for both the general merit rank (GMR) and the pharmacy merit rank (PMR). These candidates are eligible for admission to all courses. Candidates who only appear in paper-2 will be eligible for PMR only (except Jadavpur University). Such candidates are only considered for admission to the pharmacy programme. Candidates who only take paper 1 are not eligible for any rank.

The WBJEE 2023 exam will consist entirely of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with four options for each question. Each subject will have three types of questions.

WBJEE 2023 Application Process Guidelines

The application for WBJEE 2023 must be completed and submitted online. There will be no printed applications.

Duplicate applications for the WBJEE 2023 exams will be rejected.

The application cannot be modified, changed, or edited once the registration details such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, and date of birth are entered.

If any information other than the details mentioned above needs to be corrected, the WBJEEB will announce a ‘correction period’ during which candidates will be able to make the changes.

The WBJEE examination fee will only be payable online via net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI. WBJEE 2023 application fees are Rs 500 for general candidates and Rs 499 for SC, ST, OBC-A, and OBC-B candidates. This is a non-refundable fee.

Candidates have been informed by the WBJEEB that taking the exam and obtaining a rank does not guarantee admission. Allotment and admission criteria will be determined by the rules in effect at the time of counselling.
