Sainik School Entrance Exam was taken offline. The exam was conducted for 150 minutes for admission to class VI and 180 minutes for admission to class IX. The examination for class VI was conducted from 2 to 4.30 pm and for class IX from 2 to 5 pm. Language, Mathematics, Intelligence, General Knowledge in class VI and Mathematics, Intelligence, English, General Knowledge, Social Science in class IX. There was an examination of 300 marks in the 6th and 400 marks in the 9th.
Minimum marks
At least 25% marks in each subject and 40% marks in aggregate is required. Admission will be on merit basis. E-counseling will be done according to the merit list. There is no minimum marks fixed for SC and ST students. However, in the newly approved Sainik Schools, it is necessary for students of all categories including General, OBC, SC and ST to bring at least 25 percent marks in each subject and 40 percent marks in aggregate.
