The education minister, Ranoj Pegu, has previously stated that the results will be announced shortly.
According to sources, many board officials were oblivious to this until Monday evening. Sarma previously stated that the class 12 examination results will be released this week.
This was the first board examination for the 3,42,869 students who were registered to take the class 12 examinations. In 2021, they passed the Class 10 examinations without taking the exam, which the state government suspended due to Covid-19.
Due to unprecedented floods and landslides that impacted more than four lakh persons in the state, AHSEC cancelled the Class 11 examination for the same group of students last year as well.
This year, according to the AHSEC, the largest number of candidates (2.72 lakh) were enrolled to appear in the Arts stream, followed by 47,485 in the Science stream and 20,485 in the Commerce stream. Only 1,948 candidates from the vocational stream were registered to take the exam.
In February and March, the examination was administered in 856 centres across the state.
