Gujarat HSC general stream results 2023: Overall pass percentage at 73.27%

The HSC general stream results announced on Wednesday were 73.27 percent, with 72.83 percent of Gujarati medium students passing the exam and 79.16 percent of English medium students.

The HSC general stream results for 2023, which were released on Saturday, were 13.64 percent lower than the results for 2022.

In 2022, the graduation rate was 86.91 percent.

Of the 4.77 million students who took the HSC (general stream) examination, 3.49 million were successful. Interestingly, 1.42 million students took the examination this year.

According to the education department, Vanghadara had the highest graduation rate at 95.85 percent, while Devgadhbariya had the lowest at 36.28 percent. This year, among the districts, Kutch had the highest pass-out percentage at 84.49%, while Dahod had the lowest at 54.69%.

Girls continued to outnumber boys among those taking the HSC for the first time. The pass rate for females was 80.39 percent, while for boys it was 67.03 percent. This year, approximately 13.36% more females passed the exams.

Interestingly, this year 1,874 students achieved a grade point average of at least 90%. Even the number of pupils who scored over 80% but less than 90% was 29,876 according to the officials.

According to the provided statistics, 33,402 students failed one subject this year, while 33 failed exams in two subjects.
