Girls continued to outnumber boys among those taking the HSC for the first time. The pass rate for females was 80.39 percent, while for boys it was 67.03 percent. This year, approximately 13.36% more females passed the exams.
Interestingly, this year 1,874 students achieved a grade point average of at least 90%. Even the number of pupils who scored over 80% but less than 90% was 29,876 according to the officials.
According to the provided statistics, 33,402 students failed one subject this year, while 33 failed exams in two subjects.
