Why West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is conducted?
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination, popularly known as WBJEE, is a state-level entrance examination. It conducted for students taking admission into undergraduate Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture programmes in Government and self-financed institutions and universities across West Bengal.
While candidates qualifying WBJEE 2020 result will be eligible to participate in the counselling process, the 2020’s edition of WBJEE counselling will be held online due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

While a total of 36,000 seats are expected to be filled in 104 participating colleges of WBJEE 2020, the board will prepare two merit lists namely GMR and PMR. The list will be Based on the papers appeared in WBJEE followed by marks scores therefore candidates should note that each participating college of WBJEE will release separate cut off lists for different courses.
