The Aligarh Muslim University, while taking an initiative on humanitarian grounds, has urged its retired employees, alumni, etc., to voluntarily contribute for the rehabilitation of and help to the members of affected families in recent incidents of communal violence in North East Delhi.
In an appeal issued today, the Finance Officer, Professor S M Jawed Akhtar has said that the recent riots in North East Delhi have led to loss of many lives and a huge amount of property and those who wish to contribute to the this effect may send their donations to two different bank accounts, one meant for Indian nationals and the other for foreign nationals and foreign institutions.
