Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor Prof. Tariq Mansoor has issued instructions on Thursday for creating awareness in light of advisory issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for prevention from Corona Virus.
Prof. Mansoor during a meeting of Deans of all Faculties, Provosts of Halls of Residences, Directors of Centres stressed upon creating awareness among every one for taking preventive steps towards prevention from Corona Virus.
Prof. Mansoor has stated that as far as possible the students should refrain from assembling at one place. The Annual Hall Functions and Cultural Programs have been postponed while no permission will be granted for organizing functions at Kennedy auditorium. He also stated that if possible, the national and international conferences may also be postponed and people should restrain from unnecessary travel. Prof. Mansoor also directed that JN Medical College should be ready with an isolation ward for precaution.
Dean, Student?s Welfare has been directed to organise awareness programs in all Hall of Residences in coordination with the concerned Provosts. Deans of all Faculties will communicate to their concerned Chairmen of Department of Studies for the advisory issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for the prevention of Corona Virus and highlight that there is no need for panic but prevention is required against Corona Virus.
