During the early phases of the Second World War, the military’s preparedness was lacking. After Congress prohibited Defense Test Day, the Military Order of World War, led by Colonel Thatcher Luquer, created Army Day. The date was originally set for May 1 before being moved to April 6. The United States Army is a symbol of bravery, valor, and selflessness in times of conflict. They fight valiantly to defend the nation’s honour around the globe. They were instrumental in making the United States one of the most significant nations in the globe. Army Day was established to increase public awareness of national defence and appreciation for the army’s activities.
