Global Fat Bike Day 2023: Since 2012, Global Fat Bike Day has been held every first Saturday in December. This year, it is on December 4. People who like fat bikes celebrate this day by riding their bikes, which is the best way they know how. The event takes place on a Saturday, which is a common day for riding and lets people go on longer rides. But this isn’t set in stone. If you have other plans, you can ride on Friday or even Sunday instead. The whole weekend is yours to ride your big bike. You only need to find time to ride today.

The History Of World Fat Bike Day

Global Fat Bike Day has grown into a big deal in just under ten years. But who came up with this amazing idea? The idea took off not after a single “eureka!” moment, but after a number of talks and rides. It all started when a group of passionate fat bike fans in the UK set up a few runs. It was what they called “just grassroots stuff.” The dream was to bring together cool people and bikes. The plan never went forward because of things they couldn’t change, like prices and schedule conflicts.

At some point, the thought of a worldwide event to honor old mountain bikes began to form. The idea behind it was easy. Set a date and time, get on your bike, and ride, no matter where you are in the world. In your own time zone, all you had to do was ride when the hour came around. They could ride alone or with friends, and they could go on a great mountain trail or ride in the city. Everything was fine! Fat riding is most common in places where it is cold and might snow in December. On the road, snow always makes for an exciting ride, but sand can also make for an exciting ride.

The idea quickly caught on across countries and spread like flames on the Internet. And now we’re here. It’s still an online event, but it’s become bigger over the years. Today is a holiday that began in Britain and is now popular in both the US and Canada. People who ride fat bikes can share their stories and show how much they love these awesome bikes.
