Math 2.0 Day was established by the Math Interest Group in 2009. The group was formed to promote and facilitate the online use of mathematics. Additionally, the Math Interest Group collaborates on research and development projects that concentrate on mathematics education required in fields such as finance, engineering, medicine, and even sociology. Math has contributed to numerous discoveries over the course of centuries. For example, Pythagoras (570–495 BCE) developed the Pythagorean Theorem, which aided in the study of planets.
