National Daisy Day 2024: Daisy flowers are still lovely, even though they are a common flower. Although they are present in North America, Australia, Africa, South America, Iceland, and Greenland, daisies are native to Northern Europe. Daisy’s name derives from the Old English term “day’s eye,” which refers to the flower’s petals that open at dawn and close at evening. What is seen as an obtrusive member of the weed family can also be added to yards and gardens. Every year on January 28, people celebrate the resiliently lovely daisy.
Daisies have been cultivated for their medicinal properties and aesthetic appeal since ancient Egypt, thousands of years ago. Since Europeans have loved daisies for hundreds of years, they have come to stand for joy, purity, and new life.
Although daisies were often thought of as weeds by some gardeners, it is now clear that this flower contributes much to the environment’s beauty and health. Many of the varieties of daisies are edible and healthful whether added to salads or used as decorations for sweet baked products like cakes, something that some people are unaware of.
It has also been reported that daisies offer therapeutic qualities. For example, a variety of ailments, such as cough, renal issues, bronchitis, inflammation, and liver issues, can be treated with wild daisy tea. Others have employed the daisy’s therapeutic properties for a wide range of conditions, including arthritic joints and aches (especially in gardeners), healing scrapes and wounds, and discomfort and difficulty during childbirth.
To honor this flower that is more than simply a gorgeous face, National Daisy Day was established!

National Prosecco Day 2024: Date, History, Facts about Prosecco
Since daisies belong to the weed family and grow organically in the wild, they may be regarded as an annoyance. However, they are a perfect addition to a flower pot or garden because they are a perennial bloom that require little care.
In England, where it originated, the daisy is also known as a bruisewort. The crushed leaves of daisies were employed as an ancient holistic medicine to calm skin that was damaged and discolored. Both aesthetic and functional!
Daisies are frequently connected to children and are a symbol of youth and innocence.
