On April 21st, the German educator Friedrich Frobel was born. In 1837, he established the first play and activity institute that came to be known as kindergarten. His birthday is April 21st. (The term “kindergarten” originates from the middle of the 19th century in German and literally translates to “children’s garden.”) But I’m sure you were already aware of that.
