National Ladies Learning Code Day 2023: History
The purpose of National Ladies Learning Code Day (also known as National Girl Learning Code Day) is to provide more individuals with coding resources, tools, and knowledge. The overarching objective is to foster innovation and eliminate the gender disparity prevalent in the technology sector. The Canada Learning Code is the inspiration behind this nationwide initiative. It was created with women and individuals who identify as female in mind as its primary beneficiaries. It provides them with a collaborative and socially inclusive setting in which to study user experience design and coding. Canada Learning Code is a leader in the national initiative to promote digital literacy.
Canada Learning Code, originally known as the Ladies Learning Code, was founded in 2011. Since that time, the organization has grown to encompass a greater number of adults and adolescents through its initiatives, including Teens and Teachers Learning Code, Girls Learning Code, and Kids Learning Code. Canada Learning Code advocates for program design and delivery, industry and public partnerships, research, advocacy, and advocacy in over 35 communities nationwide. Since its inception, well over 250,000 learners have benefited from in-person experiences organized by the organization.
The charity prioritizes women, adolescents from indigenous communities, people with disabilities, and newcomers to the field. This preeminent national organization is devoted to ensuring that digital learning is accessible to individuals throughout the entire nation. Closing the gender disparity in the technology industry is an imperative for the technological landscape’s future.
