Dogs have swiftly become indispensable members of the family and community. We adore them for their companionship and undying love, as well as the fact that they make the best cuddle buddies and are incredibly adorable.
The 22nd of August is Never Bean Better Day, giving us the ideal opportunity to celebrate and spread Bean ‘wuv’ with our dogs and others. By adoring us unconditionally, being our listening ears, and cuddling with us, our furry companions have always upheld their status as man’s best friend and are always willing to be our lifelong companions. Registered therapy canines, such as Bean, share their ‘wuv’ at hospitals, schools, reading programmes, behavioural therapy group sessions, domestic violence and homeless shelters, long-term care and Alzheimer’s units, and anywhere else an emotional boost is needed.
Dogs have swiftly become indispensable members of the family and community. We adore them for their companionship and undying love, as well as the fact that they make the best cuddle buddies and are incredibly adorable.
In addition to providing companionship, dogs are beneficial for numerous other aspects of human survival. Our canine companions can be trained as security dogs, hunting dogs, police dogs, blind guide dogs, and even therapy dogs. Today, we are focusing on one of the functional characteristics of canines, namely their therapeutic quality.
Bean is a celebrity dog best known for his canine chatter and ‘woo woo,’ and he has appeared on numerous television programmes, charity events, and even been quoted in “The Wall Street Journal.” Bean was born with the name Neversink’s Never Bean Better and grew up in a caring Golden Retriever home to become a registered therapy dog. Since 2011, he has disseminated his ‘wuv’ in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, long-term care facilities, and schools across the United States. Along with his canine and human siblings, he is one of the cast members of the infamous Facebook page “Never Bean Better,” where they continuously spread the Bean ‘wuv’ worldwide. The Never Bean Better toy dog was inspired by Bean’s cartoon character, which has appeared on the Facebook page and in the form of colouring pages shared with ill children and dementia patients.
The 22nd of August is a special day to honour the renowned therapy dog and the unconditional affection of all our canine companions. This is the ideal day for sharing the ‘wuv’ of our finest canine companions.
The best method to honour puppy love is to demonstrate it yourself. Take some time today to show love and compassion to anyone who needs it, particularly your canine companion.
Bean’s tail can be followed on all social media platforms and on their website using the handles @neverbeenbetter and @neverbeenbetterwoowoo. You can purchase one of their products or participate in the celebration by using the hashtags #beanwuv, #NeverBeanBetterDay, or #neverbeanbetter.
When was the last time you visited the dog park in your area? Today is the ideal day to take your companion to the dog park and engage in a variety of enjoyable activities with them. Even if you don’t have a pet, today is a wonderful day to show affection to other animals or adopt one from a local shelter.
As early as World War II, therapy dogs were used to boost the spirits of recovering personnel with PTSD.
The simple act of petting or even just being in the presence of a pet can alleviate mental and emotional disorders such as anxiety, depression, and tension, as well as reduce blood pressure and heart rate.
Studies have shown that the presence of fish aquariums in waiting rooms has a calming effect, slowing heart rates, lowering blood pressure, and reducing anxiety and muscle tension.
Certain programmes couple inmates with immature assistance dogs so that the inmates can train the dogs under the supervision of a professional dog trainer, thereby learning skills to aid in their own rehabilitation.
Reading to a dog can provide a forum for children with learning disabilities to practise reading aloud without concern of being judged for their errors.
