Nonetheless, in general, people hold the following beliefs: God is the embodiment of a higher force, possesses an eternal and necessary existence, is almighty and omnipresent, and created all living things. There is also a common belief that God would bless and lead everyone to a happy life.
The fundamental notion that God is good to everyone and that we should be too is the source of the idea behind Play God Day, rather than any specific religious or cultural belief. Play God Day is an opportunity to act altruistically and without self-interest, just as God would. These actions don’t have to be transformative or magical. To make someone’s day a little bit better than it might otherwise be, all you have to do is that.
Just consider what it could be like to have divine status for a day. Consider the actions or issues that you would resolve. On this day, there will be certain things you can take baby steps towards, even though some of those things might be beyond your human capabilities. For example, on Play God Day, donate to a food bank if your goal as God is to end world hunger. Although we don’t require a reason to show kindness to others, Play God Day is a wonderful occasion to do so.
