“Robinson Crusoe” became an immediate hit upon its eventual publication. In the book, Robinson, the main character, gets stranded on an island and suffers from extreme loneliness for several days. He survives on the island for a total of 28 long years in this manner. Despite having a seemingly straightforward premise, the book is regarded as one of the best literary works of all time. The 13-part television series “The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe” was produced in France in 1964, and a Hollywood picture titled “Crusoe” debuted in 1988.
