World Usability Day 2023: World Usability Day, also known as Make Things Easier Day, is observed annually on the second Thursday of November. Henry Dreyfuss, an American industrial engineer, is another significant character in the history of user experience design. His 1955 publication “Designing for People” essentially defines user experience design.
Individuals other than engineers have made significant contributions to the evolution of user experience. Walt Disney was recognized in 1966 as one of the pioneering user experience designers. With an unwavering commitment to crafting enchanting, all-encompassing, and nearly flawless user experiences, Disney envisioned an environment where state-of-the-art technologies could be utilized to better the lives of others. Apple, whose products have included the iPhone (2007) and the original iPod (2001), has been a genuine innovator in user experience. The IT industry titan even produced the term “user experience design.”
