World Youth Skills Day is annually observed on July 15. Since 2014, when the United Nations proclaimed its existence, it has been observed. The purpose of World Youth Skills Day, according to the United Nations, is to “celebrate the strategic importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, decent work, and entrepreneurship.” Typically, commemorative events provide young people with opportunities for dialogue with educational institutions, employers, policymakers, and development partners.
