IAF Agniveer Recruitment 2022: Under Agnipath Scheme Indian Air Force gets over 2 lakh applications in 6 days

The process of registration started on June 24 and till Sunday 56,960 applications were received and till Monday 94,281 applications were received.

IAF Agniveer Recruitment 2022: More than two lakh applications have been received within six days after the start of the registration process for the recruitment of Agniveers under the Agneepath scheme in the Indian Air Force. The Ministry of Defense gave this information. The process of registration started on June 24 and till Sunday 56,960 applications were received and till Monday 94,281 applications were received. The plan was announced on June 14 and a week later there were protests in several states against the plan.

The Air Force tweeted, “So far 2,01,000+ candidates have applied for Agniveervayu on the registration website. The registration will close on 5th July.”

Under the Agneepath scheme, soldiers are being recruited for 4 years in the Indian Army, Navy and Airforce. Agniveers of the Air Force have been named Agniveervayu. After 4 years, 75 percent of the soldiers will be sent home. The remaining 25 per cent Agniveers will be appointed as permanent jawans. There are to be 3500 vacancies of Agniveervayu in the Air Force.

Educational Qualifications

For Science subjects

The applicant should have passed 12th class with at least 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and English as a subject.

Must have at least 50% marks in English.

or

Three year Engineering Diploma holder with 50% marks

or

Two years Vocational Course with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with two non-vocational subjects like Physics and Maths.

For subjects other than science

12th pass in any discipline with at least 50% marks. Must have at least 50% marks in English.

Age Range

Candidate age should be above 17.5 years and less than 23 years. That is, the candidate must have been born between 29 December 1999 to 29 June 2005. If the candidate clears all the stages of the selection process then the maximum age limit at the time of enrollment will be 23 years.

The height of the applying candidate should be at least 152.5 cms. He could inflate his chest by 5 cm.

Application Fee – Rs.250

Fee can be paid through Debit Card/Credit or Internet Banking.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected in these stages:

– Online test.
– Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
– Medical test.
– Interim Selection List – December 1, 2022
Enrollment – December 11, 2022
