India Post GDS Recruitment 2023: Application Window Open Until August 23 For Over 30,000 GDS Positions

Those employed as Assistant Branch Postmasters (ABPM) and Dak Sevaks will be compensated between Rs 10,000 and Rs 24,470.

India Post GDS Recruitment 2023: Indian Postal Circle has begun accepting online applications for the positions of Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster, and Dak Sevaks. Candidates who qualify may submit applications through the official website until August 23.

The Indian Postal Circle has begun accepting online applications for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) positions. This recruitment is for Branch Postmasters, Assistant Branch Postmasters, and Dak Sevaks. Candidates who are eligible and interested in applying can access the application form at https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

Note that the deadline for submitting the application form and paying the associated fees is August 23. In addition, from August 24 to August 26, applicants will be able to make adjustments to their application forms. The massive recruitment campaign seeks to fill 30,041 positions.

Application Fee for 2023

To apply for the position, candidates must submit a Rs 100 application fee. However, female candidates, trans-women, and Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) individuals are exempt from fee payment.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Maximum: As of August 23, 2023, applicants for the GDS position must be between the ages of 18 and 40.

Educational Requirements: Applicants must have passed the Secondary School Examination of Class 10 with a passing certificate in Mathematics and English (studied as either required or elective subjects) from any Board recognized by the Government of India/State Governments/Union Territories. In addition, those vying for a GDS position in any of the approved categories must have studied their local language through the secondary level (either as required or elective subjects).

  • On the homepage, select “Online Application.”
  • Then, complete the application form with the required information.
  • Upload scanned copies of documents, photographs, and signatures in accordance with the instructions.
  • If applicable, pay the application fee and click the submit icon.
  • Download the confirmation page and print a copy for your records.

India Post GDS Recruitment 2023: Salary Framework

Those selected for the Branch Postmaster (BPM) position as Gramin Dak Sevaks will receive a monthly salary between Rs 12,000 and Rs 29,380. Those employed as Assistant Branch Postmasters (ABPM) and Dak Sevaks will be compensated between Rs 10,000 and Rs 24,470.
