More than 58,000 vacant positions for teachers and non-teaching staff exist across the country in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and Central Institutes of Higher Education. He stated that 12,099 teacher positions and 1,312 non-teaching staff positions are available in Kendriya Vidyalayas. The central universities have the most vacant positions in higher education, with 6,180 teachers and 15,798 non-teaching staff positions still unfilled.
