SSC GD Constable 2024 application for 75,768 posts from November 24: Check eligibility, exam pattern and syllabus

SSC GD Constable 2024: Starting on November 24, the Staff Selection Commission will begin accepting online applications for the positions of Rifleman (GD) in the Assam Rifles Examination 2023, NIA, SSF, and Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). Interested candidates may review the requirements for eligibility, the curriculum, and other pertinent information about the recruitment here or on the Commission’s official website, ssc.nic.in.

The SSC GD Constable 2023 registration period is scheduled to run from November 24 to December 28, 2023.The test is scheduled for February of 2024. The candidates who make the short list will be commissioned for a variety of positions, including those of Constable (General Duty) in the Border Security Force (BSF), Rifleman (General Duty) in the Assam Rifles (AR), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), and Sepoy in the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Selection Method

Computer-based testing (CBE), physical efficiency testing (PET), physical standard testing (PST), medical examination, and document verification will all be part of the hiring process.

Age Limit

As on August 1, 2023, the applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 23. However, candidates from the reserved categories are eligible for an age relaxation.

Educational Qualification

The candidates must have graduated from a recognized board or university with honors in their matriculation or 10th class examination.

Application Fee

For SSC GD Constable 2023, there is a Rs. 100 application fee. Nonetheless, candidates who are women, members of Scheduled Tribes (ST), Scheduled Castes (SC), or eligible ex-servicemen (ESM) are not required to pay the application fee.

CBT Exam Pattern

There will be a single objective-style paper with 80 questions worth two marks each in the computer-based test.

There will be one type of question only: objective multiple choice. Only Hindi and English will be used for the computer-based test. For each incorrect response, a deduction of 0.50 marks will be applied.

Syllabus

General Intelligence and Reasoning:

Mostly non-verbal questions will be used to assess analytical aptitude as well as the capacity to notice and identify patterns. This section could contain questions about relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, and observation.

General Knowledge and General Awareness:

This section’s questions will try to gauge how well the applicant understands his broad surroundings. Additionally, as may be expected of any educated individual, questions will be designed to evaluate knowledge of current events as well as topics related to common observations and experience in their scientific context. Along with questions about sports, general policing, Indian constitution, history, culture, geography, economy, and science, the test will also cover India and its neighboring countries. These questions will be designed in a way that no particular field will need to study for them.

Elementary Mathematics:

Basic arithmetic operations, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, mensuration, time and distance, ratio and time, time and work, and other topics concerning number systems, computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions, and the relationship between numbers are all covered in this elementary mathematics paper.

Hindi and English comprehension skills will be assessed, as well as the candidates’ basic understanding of both languages.
