UP Teacher Recruitment 2022: 2090 ad hoc teachers will be recruited in UP on honorarium

UP Teacher Recruitment 2022: It is proposed to keep 2090 ad-hoc teachers appointed since August 7, 1993 in aided secondary schools of Uttar Pradesh on honorarium.

In the proposal being sent by the Director of Secondary Education, Dr. Sarita Tiwari to the Special Secretary, Secondary Education, three formulas have been suggested to keep ad-hoc teachers on honorarium. For this, the government will have an annual expenditure burden of one billion 20 crore to two billion 41 crore rupees.

In Sanjay Singh’s case, the Supreme Court had ordered ad-hoc teachers to appear in the Trained Graduate (TGT) and Lecturer (PGT) recruitment examinations. However, in the TGT-PGT advertisement of 2021, only 40 ad-hoc teachers (six lecturers and 34 assistant teachers) were successful in that. Being out of job after failing in recruitment, the problem of livelihood has arisen for the teachers appointed since the year 2000.

In this matter, in a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister on July 9, it was asked to provide suitable proposals for the maintenance of these teachers. From 7 August 1993 to 30 December 2000, 979 teachers and after the year 2000, 1111 total 2090 teachers are coming under the ambit.
