Delhi Police Traffic Advisory and Route Avoidance for Independence Day 2023: On Independence Day, the Delhi Police have issued a traffic advisory for the orderly flow of traffic in the nation’s capital.

According to the advisory, public access to Red Fort will be restricted from 4 am to 10 am. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will raise the flag atop the Red Fort’s rampart and deliver a speech to the nation. Prime Minister Modi will lead the Independence Day celebrations for the ninth occasion this year.

The following roads will be closed to general traffic from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., according to a traffic advisory issued by the Delhi Police:

• From Delhi Gate to Chatta Rail, Netaji Subhash Marg.
• Lothian Road between GPO Delhi and Chatta Rail.
• The section of S.P.Mukherjee Marg between H.C.Sen Marg and Yamuna Bazar Chowk.
• Chandni Chowk Road between Fountain Chowk and the Red Fort.
• From Ring Road to Netaji Subhas Marg, Nishad Raj Marg.
• Esplanade Road and its connection to Netaji Subhas Marg.
• Ring Road between Rajghat and ISBT.
• Outer circuit Road from ISBT to IP Flyover, also known as the Salimgarh Bypass.
