Google I/O 2022: Many security features to make internet and users data more secure

Yellow alert if account is not secure

Google announces Account Safety Status feature. This feature will give information about whether the account of the users is secure or not. As soon as there is any kind of security flaw in the user’s account. Yellow alert will appear on his profile photo. Apart from the app, Google is introducing a feature to protect the work space from cyber attacks. Which will protect docs, sheets and slides linked to Gmail from phishing attacks.

automatic 2 step verification

The company is also bringing the automatic 2 step verification feature. It will auto-enroll in the user’s account if 2 step verification is not active. The feature will give people the PasswordSell experience. This will reduce the risk of their account being hacked.

virtual card

Google also announced the virtual card at the I/O 2022 event. This feature will work with the Google Chrome app on Android devices. The virtual card feature will work with autofill of payment details of the people. In autofill, the credit and debit card numbers of the users will be replaced with the virtual numbers. So that they do not have to enter the details of the card. This feature will currently be rolled out in the US.

Secure and Protected Commuting

This feature will take care of the data privacy and security of the users. Company announced tool to remove your information in search results. Apart from this, people will also be able to control their ads. Advertisements that are not to be seen on the Internet can be restricted.
