Love Reset Day 2023: Date, History, Reasons

The Love Reset Day began as a 30-day challenge that allows individuals to review the quality of their relationships and discover areas that require nurturing for healthy, long-lasting bonds.

Love Reset Day is observed annually on February 15, the day following Valentine’s Day. For many, the day of love might be a rude awakening, when they find that traditional romance is not as fulfilling as it seems, leading to a path of self-discovery and self-love. The Love Reset Day began as a 30-day challenge that allows individuals to review the quality of their relationships and discover areas that require nurturing for healthy, long-lasting bonds. It is a day that necessitates introspection with the purpose of enriching relationships.

HISTORY OF LOVE RESET DAY

“Be deserving love, and love will come.” This is a famous quotation from the classic novel “Little Women” by Louisa May Alcott, and it still holds true today. It is quite simple to project one’s expectations and repeat patterns in relationships, which is why it is essential to be self-compassionate and focus inward. It must be noted, however, that self-love does not always entail significant transformations or healing; sometimes it simply entails being fair to oneself and not devaluing one’s value, particularly in romantic relationships. Ironically, this understanding occurs typically after Valentine’s Day. On Valentine’s Day, when expectations are at their highest, it is normal for relationships to fall apart or go awry. Perhaps one is hunting for love in all the incorrect places.

Carla Lynn Hall, the owner of the DatingRelating.com blog, established Love Reset Day on February 15, 2018. Inspired by romance and its elements, Carla has spent most of the past decade advising women about relationships. Additionally, she moderates the Facebook group Secret Feminine Magnetism. After watching an upsurge in wedding engagements amongst women in the Facebook group in 2015, Carla noticed that many women joined the community because they needed a safe area to manage their romantic sentiments.

According to Carla, Love Reset Day follows Valentine’s Day because that is when many people experience changes in their romantic relationships. She believes that a Love Reset Day is just what a person needs to reclaim their independence and make better relationship decisions.
