Masik Shivratri Wishes: It is a major Hindu celebration commemorating the union of Shiva and Shakti. During Krishna Paksha, Masik Shivarti occurs on Chaturdashi Tithi each month. Since ancient times, during the Masik Shivarti, people have fasted and worshipped Lord Shiva. It is believed that impossible or challenging duties can be accomplished by fasting.

During Shivaratri, devotees of Lord Shiva remain awake and perform Shiva Puja at midnight.

It is believed that unmarried women observe this fast in order to obtain a husband, while married women observe it in order to maintain peace and tranquilly in their marriage.
