Who is Michael Arnold: In the most recent development in this ongoing drama, 65-year-old Michael Arnold, a retired pilot and merchant marine, has been taken into custody for the third time in four months. He is accused of stalking and criminal contempt in relation to an alleged incident that occurred on January 12. According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, Arnold followed a woman in a maroon automobile against the terms of an order of protection, pulling over for a little while before continuing.

In October, Arnold became well-known after he was detained three times for operating a single-engine aircraft over Cassie Wilusz’s 42-year-old residence. Law officials allegedly found a fictitious Facebook account that Arnold had used to intimidate and harass Wilusz’s daughter throughout the course of the inquiry. He was taken into custody in October on many occasions, but each time he was freed on bond.

Arnold was being detained without bond on charges of criminal contempt and stalking in connection with the current incident when he was most recently arrested. He is now being held at Saratoga County Jail.
Since November 2019, when Wilusz, the proprietor of Revolution Cafe in Schuylerville, allegedly rejected Arnold’s overtures, he has been living in constant terror. Arnold reportedly followed her in his car and circled her house in his plane many times a week as his behaviours became more aggressive.

Mayor Dan Carpenter of Schuylerville voiced worries about Arnold’s mental health in October, expressing concern about a possible worsening of the situation. Arnold’s activities, such as taking off from Wilusz’s house when her husband was terminally ill with colon cancer, caused concerns for the tiny neighborhood’s safety.
Arnold continues to be a menace, as seen by this most recent arrest, and concerns about the legal ramifications and community safety protocols remain. Wilusz and her neighbourhood deal with the terrifying reality of a serial stalker who enjoys harassing people in the air as the court case plays out.
