B Kinder Day, observed annually on June 22, is a holiday honouring and paying tribute to a young girl who cares about her community and others. It also instructs us to be kind to others despite the hardships of life. Are you aware that compassion can lead to love? Yes, witnessing acts of kindness causes the release of oxytocin, the love hormone, which lowers blood pressure, improves heart health, and makes us feel joyful. So why not practise and demonstrate kindness? Here is all the information you need to know about Billie Kinder, her life, her history, and the significance of B Kinder Day.
The background of B Kinder
Billie Jayde Kinder was born in North Queensland, Australia, on February 6, 2004, to Danielle Mayson-Kinder and David Kinder. In addition to her family, Billie’s genuine passion was her horses. Due to her small stature and youth, Billie became an adept rider rapidly. She was named the 2014 Arndell’s Equestrian Athlete of the Year for Grades K–6 and placed fourth in the 31.5-inch showjumping qualifying round for the 2014 National Interschool Championships. In 2015, she was named the Arndell’s equestrian athlete of the year K–6 and the State Interschool primary showjumping champion, as well as the overall champion rider. Clearly, Billie cherished her horses and her family.
Billie was known in her community for her extraordinary achievements and caring, loving, and compassionate nature towards the community throughout her entire life. However, tragedy struck the community in 2016 when Billie was killed in a horse-riding accident while escorting her horse back to her stable. She sustained grievous head and body injuries and died shortly thereafter.
B Kinder Day was created by her mother, Danny Mayson-Kinder, in honour of her daughter and to encourage children to make a difference in the world. Soon after, the organisation flyhighbillie was founded to provide support and assistance to children and adolescents to combat bullying, mental health issues, and suicide. Therefore, let’s emphasise optimism, compassion, change, generosity, joy, and positivity in this world.
