Celebrate Canada Day in Hamilton: This Canada Day weekend, there are numerous activities in and around Hamilton.

Celebrate Canada Day in Hamilton: Pride Ride

A bike excursion hosted by Hamilton Bike Share and Cycle Hamilton concludes Pride Month. It departs Corktown Park at 7:00 p.m. and travels to Bayfront Park.

Canada Day fireworks and more at Bayfront Park

Bayfront Park will host a free Canada Day celebration hosted by the City of Hamilton.

There will be a food truck rally and a sports zone with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Forge FC, and Toronto Rock beginning at 1:00 p.m. There are numerous activities for children, including balloon artists, face painters, a magician, and others.

Emily Bolyea and Mason Micevski of Emerson Arts will host the stage performances beginning at 6 p.m. There will be fireworks at 10 p.m. Here are the specifics.

Celebrate Canada Day in Hamilton: Canada Day in Burlington

On July 1, the City of Burlington commemorates its 150th birthday and Canada Day in Spencer Smith Park. The Burlington Teen Tour Band will start things off at 4 p.m. The opening ceremony will be hosted by CHCH TV sportscaster Clint “Bubba” O’Neil.

Yoga in the park, Canada Day runs, a citizenship ceremony at 1 p.m. at Civic Square, and pyrotechnics at 10 p.m. are among the many activities available. Read further here.

You Own the Festival

It’s Your Festival’s musical headliners include Chilliwack, Jully Black, and The Box. The festival takes place at Gauge Park in Hamilton from July 1 to 3, 2023. Saturday’s festivities will commence at 11:30 a.m. with the Ghana Association Hospitality Group, followed by the Six Nations Smoke Dancers: Story-Singing-Dancing, the “As Tricanas” Portuguese Folk Group, and the School of Serbian Folklore SLOGA Dancers. And this is only Saturday.

Through a multitude of traditional songs and dances, the Six Nations Smoke Dancers share the distinct culture and traditions of the Haudenosaunee people.

With Canada Day, the festival commemorates its 54th year of existence. View the complete lineup here. There is also a Family Fun KidZone Stage with performances and events throughout the weekend.

Canada Day Eid Festival

The Canada Day Eid Festival is held at the Ancaster Fairgrounds at 630 Trinity Road South in Hamilton on July 1. The festivities last from 1 to 9 p.m. The organisers guarantee food trucks and many activities for children. Admission is $3 in cash or free for children under the age of five.

Eid al-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, commemorates the sacrifice of Ibrahim and is the culmination of the annual pilgrimage to Mecca. The celebration typically lasts three to four days and is centred on altruism, communal prayer, and friendship.

Celebrate Canada Day in Hamilton: Waterdown, Ontario, Canada Ribfest

The Waterdown Oh Canada Ribfest begins on Friday at 4:00 pm and continues through Monday. There are musicians performing all weekend on the main stage, including Hamilton rockers Freedom Train on Saturday night at 9:30 p.m. Learn everything about the event here.

In the Gardens, Music

Music In The Gardens at Hendrie Park in Burlington begins this Sunday, July 2 and continues every Sunday until August 27 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Visit the Royal Botanical Gardens website to learn more. The Loretta Hale Big Band will perform during Sunday’s performance. They will perform versions of songs by Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, and Ella Fitzgerald, among others.

Celebrate Canada Day in Hamilton: City outdoor pools accessible

The public outdoor pools of Hamilton open on Friday, just in time for the holiday weekend. They are accessible until September 4. The majority of wading pools will not open until July 4, however the Dundas Driving Park wading pool opened last week.
