Jumat Ul Vida
Happy Jumat Ul Vida 2023 Wishes: The Arabic term Jamat ul Vida translates to Friday of Farewell in English. It derives from the words ‘Juma’ and ‘Wida’, which indicate gathering and farewell, respectively. Jamat ul Vida is also recognised by the name Al-Jumu’ah al-Yateemah.
In Islamic culture, Friday is revered as the holiest day of the week, referred to as Jumu’a or ‘Jummah’. Scholars believe that if Muslims spent their Fridays worshipping and reading the Quran, Allah would defend them for the remainder of the week. Even though Muslims consider every Friday to be significant, the last Jummah of Ramadan has added significance. According to the history of Jamat Al Vida, scholars assert that an angel of Allah enters the mosque on Fridays to attend to the Imam’s sermon. People are rewarded for attending early morning prayer at the mosque on Jamat ul Vida. According to the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), Allah will absolve the sins of those who regularly perform the Friday prayer.
