Happy Puthandu: Puthandu is a significant festival observed in Tamil Nadu. The entire Tamil population commemorated this day with great zeal and fervour. This day is celebrated as the Tamil New Year on the first day of the Tamil month Chitteral. • To greet prosperity, women take herbal baths containing turmeric and decorate their homes with Kolam.
• People wear traditional attire, exchange greetings, and invite relatives to their homes.

• The singing of devotional hymns and the ritualistic offering of God Pongal (a special rice dish) as bhog prasad finished.
