Masik Shivaratri 2022: Shivaratri Vrata Dates, Masa Shivaratri Vratam, Rituals

Shivratri occurs every month at Chaturdha Sitithi during Krishna Paksha, according to the Hindu calendar. It is celebrated this month on April 29, 2022.

Masik Shivaratri 2022: The main festival of Shiva Shakti’s merger is known as Shivratri. Hindu worshipers place a lot of importance on Lord Shiva. Shivratri occurs every month at Chaturdha Sitithi during Krishna Paksha, according to the Hindu calendar.

This Shivaratri fast is recognised as the monthly Shivaratri of Krishna Paksha’s Chaturdashiti in accordance with the Hindu calendar. The celebration of Shivaratri honours the marriage of Shiva and Shakti. Shivaratri is the night of Lord Shiva, and Mansuri means “Maha or Moon.”

Mythology of Masik Shivratri

In Indian mythology, Lord Shiva made an appearance as a lingam at midnight during his Shivaratri festival. Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma were the ones who initially worshipped the Shiva Linga. Although Maha Shivaratri only occurs once a year, this day is observed every month. Shivaratri fasting assists in achieving desired aspirations. Starting on Maha Shivaratri day, his followers may maintain their monthly Shivaratri fast for a whole year. It is believed that challenging and impossible activities can be completed by following the blessings of Lord Shiva and by observing the monthly fasts of Shivaratri. Shivaratri should be observed while awake, and Shiva Puja should be performed at midnight. Women who are already married and those who are single observe this fast in order to maintain harmony and serenity in their unions, respectively.
