Mokshada Ekadashi 2023: Inuyasha Mokshada and Baikunth Ekadashi are the names for the tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Margashirsha. This day is also called as “Mauni Ekadashi” because we observe stillness throughout the day while keeping the fast. Since Lord Krishna told Arjuna the Gita on this day in Kurukshetra, this day is also known as Gita Jayanti.
Mokshada Ekadashi 2023 Date
This Ekadashi fast is kept in order to find salvation. His forefathers achieve redemption by absolving themselves of all their previous sins as a result of this Ekadashi fast.
Mokshada Ekadashi Vrat Katha
Vaikhanas was the name of the ancient king who oversaw the region. He was well received by his subjects, and he did not permit any kind of shortcoming on their part. Everything was going nicely under his leadership, which was going incredibly well. Later, when the king was sleeping, he awoke to discover his father in hell, where he was being tormented and suffering. He promptly sentenced his father to death. He saw that his father was constantly begging him to save me from impending death. He was disturbed and had trouble sleeping when he saw this.
He got up early the following morning and called the pundits, giving them the full story of what had transpired in his dream the previous evening. Then he asked me what the secret meaning of it was. “O king!” the commentators said. You can do this by going to the Ashram of a saint by the name of Parvat and asking to find a way to save your father. The monarch followed a Brahmin-recommended course of action, which involved going to the sage’s hermitage and making his case to him.
The mountain sage was concerned after hearing the whole story and said, “O king!” Because of the things he did in his past life, your father has been condemned to hell. To honour your father, you should fast on Mokshda Ekadashi and present him with the fruit of your fast as a sacrifice. They will receive salvation and be freed from the sins of their previous birth if they accomplish this.
The guru gave the monarch instructions on how to keep the Mokshada Ekadashi fast and earn his blessings by giving the poor people clothes, food, and dakshina, among other things. Giving his father the values he had learned from his fasting experience allowed him to reach salvation.
Mokshada Ekadashi Significance
The scriptures state that the ancestors of the fasting devotees visit Baikunth Dham on the day of Mokshada Ekadashi in order to atone for their previous transgressions. This Pitru bestows blessings upon his family, including food grains and sons. This Ekadashi fast has the effect of making the worshipper more famous and bringing them great satisfaction in life. The worshipper gets the same outcome as the annual Ekadashi when the door of Baikunth Dham is opened for him.
