Mother Sita is a form of land, so she appears in all three forms action-power, will-power, and knowledge-power.
Happy Sita Navami 2023
Sita Navami 2023: In Hinduism, the significance of each date is described. Sita Navami or Janaki Navami is observed on the Navami of Shukla Paksha in the month of Vaishakh. On Saturday, April 29, 2023, Sita Navami or Janaki Navami will be observed. Mata Sita is also known as Janaki Mata. Sita Navami is also known by the names Sita Jayanti and Janaki Navami. King Janak of Janakpur was the father of Sita, the wife of Lord Shri Ram, who was discovered by Sita’s mother in a container buried in the earth. Let’s discuss the devotional method and timing for Sita Navami.
On Saturday, April 29, 2023, the celebration of Sita Navami or Janaki Navami will occur. Navami Tithi will begin at 4.01 p.m. on 28 April 2023 and conclude at 6.22 p.m. on 29 April 2023. Sita Mata was born on the ninth day of Shukla Paksha in the Vaishakh month, per Hindu mythology.
Mata Navami or Sita Jayanti is observed on the same day each year. This year, on April 29th, you will be required to venerate Mother Sita’s idol. You may observe a fast, worship in the evening, and also perform the aarti of Mata Sita if you so choose. In addition to worshipping Mother Sita, you should also worship Lord Rama, which will produce unique results.
On Sita Navami, Hindu devotees honour Devi Sita alongside Lord Rama and Lakshmana. A tiny puja mandap is prepared and adorned with vibrant flowers. This mandap contains the idols of Lord Rama, Devi Sita, Lakshmana, King Janaka, and Mata Sunayana. On this day, as Goddess Sita emerged from cultivated land, Goddess Earth is also revered.
Together, worshipping Sita and Lord Rama brings marital happiness and harmony. To perform the puja, devotees make numerous offerings of til (sesame seeds), rice, barley, and fruits. A special ‘Bhog’ is prepared for the occasion and distributed as Prasad following the conclusion of the Aarti.
On this day, women observe a strict fast known as Sita Navami Vrat. During the day, a complete fast is observed, and no food is consumed until the completion of pooja rituals. It is believed that observing the Sita Navami Vrat instils a person with modesty, maternity, sacrifice, and devotion. Generally, married women observe this fast to ensure the longevity of their spouses.
On this day, Lord Rama and Janaki temples throughout the nation hold special rituals and petitions. In each of these temples, Sringar Darshan, Maha Abhishekam, and Aarti are performed. Various locations also host recitals of the Ramayana, followed by bhajan programmes. Few temples even take out chariot processions with their deity’s idol, chanting “Jai Siya Ram” and singing devotional melodies the entire way.
Mother Sita is a form of land, so she appears in all three forms action-power, will-power, and knowledge-power. As a result of the formation of land, it is also known as Bhumatmaja. The form of Sita is the illumination of the sun, fire, and moon. Numerous medicines derive their curative properties from the Moon’s beams. On this day, you should also worship Hanuman ji, as Mother Sita considered Hanuman ji to be her son, even though Hanuman ji is Shriram’s closest friend and greatest devotee.
