Vasudev Dwadashi Story

It is said that a country named Chunar existed in the distant past. This country’s monarch was known as Poundrak. Poundrak referred to himself as Vasudev because his father’s name was Vasudev. Poundrak was also present at the Swayamvara of Draupadi, the daughter of the ruler of Panchal. He was a foolish ignoramus. His foolish and flattering acquaintances informed Poundrak that Lord Krishna is not an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, but Poundrak is. Upon hearing the words of his foolish companions, King Poundrak began to see himself as Krishna, donning a fake chakra, conch blade, and yellow garment.

One day, King Poundrak also sent a message to Lord Krishna informing him that he had assumed an avatar to save humanity. Therefore, you must remove all of these indications or we will only engage in combat. Lord Krishna did not pay attention to the foolish king for a long time, but when King Poundrak’s speech became excessive, he replied, “I will destroy your pride by destroying you completely very soon.” After hearing Lord Krishna, King Poundrak prepared for battle with Shri Krishna. He travelled to Kushinagar to obtain assistance from his associate Kashiraj.

This day is considered auspicious for brahman donations.Lord Krishna attacked the nation of Kashi with his entire army. Upon the attack of Lord Krishna, King Poundrak and Kashiraj arrived at the city’s outskirts with their respective armies.

During the conflict, King Poundrak was seated on Garuda while wearing a conch, chakra, mace, bow, silky father, etc. He entered the battlefield with great drama. When Lord Krishna saw this incarnation of King Poundrak, he burst out chuckling. Lord Krishna then dispatched Poundrak and returned to Dwarka. After the conflict, in the spirit of vengeance, Poundrak’s son sacrificed the Maran to kill Lord Krishna, but instead travelled to Dwarika to kill Lord Krishna; he then returned to the flames of Kashi and caused Sudarshan’s death. He was the son of King Sudarshan of Kashi.
